If you are looking for a great DIY makeup brush cleaner, we have a recipe that is easy and really works.
Olive Oil
Antibacterial Soap
1 part Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 parts Antibacterial Soap
Mix together in a bowl
Wet your brush with lukewarm water. Do not turn your brush upside down as the liquid could loosen the glue that holds everything together which could cause the bristles to fall out.
Dip your dampened brush into the oil and soap mixture, ensuring it’s completely coated. Using your fingers and the palm of your other hand, make sure you work it into the brush until the residue of the soap has no makeup left.
Rinse the brush with lukewarm water until all the soap is gone.
Using a dish towel, roll it and then lean a paper towel against it so the paper towel drapes downward. Put the makeup brush handle on the paper towel at the top so it leans on the dish towel. This will allow your makeup brush to dry so the water drip downward, away from the ferrule (the middle tube that keeps it all glued).
Let everything dry completely. Do this once a month for all your makeup brushes.
